PROCUREMENT CANCELLATION NOTICE

CONSULTANCY SERVICES

DESCRIPTION: SERVICE PROVIDER FOR THE FARMER
INCOME SUPPORT PROJECT

The Millennium Challenge Corporation, on behalf of the United States Government, The Ministry of Planning and Development (MPD) on behalf of the Government of Mozambique have entered into a Millennium Challenge Compact for Millennium Challenge Account assistance to help facilitate poverty reduction through economic growth in Mozambique (the “Compact”) in the amount of approximately of USD 507 million (MCC Funding).

MCA-Mozambique issued an invitation for submission of proposal to develop the Farmer Income Support Project in Zambezia and Nampula Provinces. The objectives of the Service Provider are to provide services to increase farmer income by introducing modern productivity practices to poor households in the target provinces for production of key agriculture crops in demand by domestic and exports markets and carry out actions to deter the spread of Coconut Lethal Yellowing Disease.

The above referenced procurement has been cancelled for the following reason:
Out of the four proposals received by MCA-Mozambique, only one bidder was qualified and subsequently invited for contract negotiations. However, negotiations concluded without reaching an agreement between both the parties.

A new Invitation for the Request of Proposal will be issued.

Responses to the previous Invitation received will be retained in our procurement file.
