The Millennium Challenge Corporation (" MCC ") and the Government of the Republic of Benin (the " Government ") have entered into a Compact for Millennium Challenge Account (" MCA ") assistance to help advance economic growth and eliminate poverty in Benin (the " Compact ") in the amount of US$ 307,298,040. Benin intends to apply the proceeds of MCC Funding (as defined in the Compact) to eligible payments under Projects. Payment by MCC will be made only at the request of MCA-Benin and upon approval by MCC, and will be subject, in all respects, to the terms and conditions of the Compact, including restrictions on the use of MCC Funding and conditions to the disbursements.
MCA-Benin has already started, since October 6th, 2006 (Entry Into Force date / EIF), the Phase II of its Program: the implementing phase.
As mentioned above, MCA-Benin shall need services, works, goods, etc. and this in various sectors, mainly : Access to Land, Access to Finance, Access to Justice and Access to Markets (Port of Cotonou), but also in other sectors as Administration, Communications and Monitoring & Evaluation.
The term of the MCA-Benin Program is five (5) calendar years from the EIF.
Please find attached the sixth 6 Months Procurement Plan/PP7, from October 1, 2009 to March 31, 2010 for contracts to be eventually awarded.
Important: In case of any conflict or inconsistency between the English and French versions of this Advertising, the English version shall prevail.
